The Importance of Paul’s Revelation:
The revelation the apostle Paul received from the Lord Jesus Christ concerning his redemptive work and what it means to the believer is really a system made up of about seven or so interrelated parts. You won’t find all eight parts laid out step by step as we will study them in any one passage or any one letter of Paul’s. However when you collect all that he said about who the believer is and what he has as a result of Christ’s redemptive work, a system will emerge. It helps us greatly to see this system, it brings the major areas of “Paul’s Revelation” together and gives us a more comprehensive grasp of who we are and what we have in Christ. this happens when you hear the truth by seeing the lies dissolve before your very eyes. This was given to anyone who would take the time to look and never look away. The secret key to the mystery that has been hidden from the ages has been freely given to those who will look at the serpent on the tree. Its seems like the wrong thing to do. But if you look… you live.
You are Children of Light
Paul was not the first to remind people they were children of light and that God and His Spirit dwelling their (Thessalonians 5:5, Ephesians 5:8) The Master Himself told his disciples in Matthew 5:14,” You are the light of the world, a city on a hill that cannot be hidden.” The first thing to tell a new believer is they are children of light. If people had always known this and Adam had not transgressed, Jesus would not have had to come and die. In this lesson You will discover how the Father created you in the very beginning, in Christ. Then you will see how your Father had the answer before there seemed to be a problem, he is Jehovah-Jireh.
The Purpose of the Holy Spirit
Secondly, we teach what the Holy Spirit is and why it was given. This is a very important and impactful step in Paul’s system of truth. According to Paul’s writings the Holy Spirit is the “spirit of truth” but truth about what? You can actually discover what truth the Holy Spirit was sent to give to humanity when you read Paul’s writings. It is the truths that surrounds what happened to everyone when this man we call Jesus Christ was crucified and died and rose again. According to Paul something happened there that could only be seen by the “Holy Spirit”. One had to receive and believe something only this Holy Spirit could show them. Jesus referred to this as well. They said when you were filled with the Holy Spirit you would speak in a heavenly language not an earthly one anymore. He said you would receive power to witness or to see something about what he had done at the cross.
Man’s Identification with Adam
The tragedy of Adam’s transgression recorded in Genesis 2 and 3 is at the root of the reason for the Bible, the natural Nation of Israel, the Incarnation, the work of Christ and the salvation He wrought. Yet there is almost total silence on the significance of that fall, and its extent and consequences, until we get over to Paul’s writings. He reveals by the Spirit that all mankind was identified with Adam, reckoned as being in Adam, in his fall.
Paul mentions Adam 17 times in his epistles! Adam holds a large place in his “system.” The only other references to him in the New Testament are by Jesus concerning marriage and Jude when he mentions Enoch being the seventh from Adam. Paul actually says of us that we were identified with Adam when he sinned. On this Pillar you will find out about God’s one-man plan and the importance of seeing things the way your Father sees things not the way you do. Identification will be discovered. This is an important lesson; one you should spend much time in understanding. Adam plays a key role in teaching you who you are in Christ, as a type.
What Happened to Jesus in His Redemptive work
The method used to redeem the human race was the same as was used to corrupt it. It was “the one man” method. 2 Corinthians 5:19 says, “God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself…” God was in Christ undoing all that had been done to mankind through Adam. In order to undo all this, Jesus had to first be made all Adam brought to man, sin and death. In this lesson you will begin by understanding “God’s one-man plan” as well as the heart of God. It’s hard to understand deliverance coming from God if you believe your deliverer to be a cruel and vengeful God. Then we see Jesus becoming our sin and sickness and going under the curse of the law for us and we will see him, not only doing this “for” us but in fact, “as” us. This pillar has the potential to have the most impact on your life.
Who we are in Christ
If we have an inheritance “in Adam,” we must have had an inheritance “in Christ.” That inheritance consisted of everything we received by way of the Spiritual birth, by way of Spiritual truth. In other words, we used to be joint-heirs with Adam and his earthly kingdom, because we wholeheartedly agreed with it. But now we are joint-heirs with Christ with God in His heavenly kingdom, because we are learning are wholeheartedly agreeing with it. Those of us believing, understanding, and pondering these facts we are not seeking to become better than or greater than anyone. We are not looking to teach or become any kind of chosen person. We are already chosen children of God. We are finding our place in the body of Christ.
In this lesson you will learn that you are a new creature in Christ. In this lesson you can see use a little of what belongs to you. Everything that Jesus Christ was when He rose from the dead you are today. Christ is your health, prosperity, and victory. Everything Christ was and is and ever shall be is resting within every person ready to burst to life with faith.
How to Grow Spiritual Fruit
In this lesson you will find that growing to know who you are is nothing more than hearing receiving and believing the truth that comes to you from the Holy Spirit; As you dig your roots into the ground of Christ that you are planted in. The fruits of the Spirit are: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance. There are many ways a person can get the word, which is Christ, in their heart. This lesson addresses many of those ways.
The Priestly Day Priestly Ministry of Jesus Christ
Jesus has a ministry that is in operation today. Paul gives us an example of what this ministry should look like. Paul teaches us that a man named Melchizedek speaks of the death of Christ. There is no greater need in the Church world today than to understand what happened to Jesus in His death and what that means for all. As we grow up into Christ who is a Priest after the order of Melchizedek, we will also carry BREAD and WINE in our hands to those who are hungry for the FULLNESS of Christ in their lives. We will find out what Jesus is doing today as the head of the body of Christ. This is a lesson that will help you understand your place in the earth today.
